Explore Rockville: Global Bites pilot program will offer consumers the opportunity to experience unique cuisines at a discounted price using an electronic ‘dining passport’ during a 10-day period (June 2-11, 2023).

Each dining passport contains $25 worth of coupons that can be redeemed as a $5 coupon for dine-in or take-away purchases of $25 and over at participating restaurants. The dining passport allows redemption of one $5 coupon per participating restaurant to encourage diners to use the balance of their coupons at different restaurants.

As this is a pilot program, restaurant participation slots are limited. Confirmation of participation will be first come, first served based on program eligibility.

Participating and non-participating restaurants are permitted to offer discounts and special deals outside of this redemption program during the period of Global Bites, from June 2-11, 2023.

Restaurant Eligibility

• Must be operational for at least 12 months prior to signing the Explore Rockville: Global Bites Restaurant Redemption Agreement

• Must have dine-in and/or carry-out service
• Must be in good standing with the Maryland State Department of Assessments & Taxation (SDAT)

• Cannot be a national chain. Local or regional (established in District of Columbia, Maryland, or Northern Virginia) restaurants with a City of Rockville presence may participate

• Have no City, County, State or federal litigations, bankruptcies, liens, or other outstanding taxes
