Michael Stiefvater, AICP
As Business Development Manager, Michael Stiefvater fosters and maintains relationships with the Rockville business community, providing assistance as needed. He serves as a referral source for business services; works closely with the commercial real estate and developer community; coordinates assistance and information for entrepreneurs and start-up companies, including tenants in the County’s business incubator network.
Before joining REDI, Michael served as the Economic Development Coordinator for the City of College Park where he managed their business retention and attraction efforts. Previous experience includes positions with commercial real estate research leader CoStar Group and Richmont Development, a mixed-use developer that operated in the Los Angeles region.
Michael earned a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of California, Irvine and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy, Management, and Planning from the University of Southern California. Michael is also a certified planner through the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP). He lives in Washington, DC.
