Laurie Boyer, CEcD
As Executive Director, Laurie Boyer sets the strategy and direction for REDI, and takes the lead on attraction, retention and entrepreneurship efforts. Before coming to REDI in May, 2012, she spent 11 years in the Frederick County, MD Office of Economic Development (OED). In May 2006, Boyer earned her professional Economic Development Certification (CEcD) from the International Economic Development Council.
She is the Past President of the Maryland Economic Development Association (MEDA), and is a member of the MEDA Board, the MEDA Foundation Board, and the Rockville Chamber of Commerce Board.
Ms. Boyer has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Spanish from Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA and a Master’s degree in Communication Studies from West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV. She lives in Frederick, MD.
