REDI for Entrepreneurs: Entrepreneur Expo on November 18, 2013
It is not too late to register for the 3rd Annual Entrepreneur Expo, hosted by The Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO) being held on November 18. The event is expected to attract more than 400 attendees including entrepreneurs, small business owners, investors, economic development leaders, legislators and university officials.
This year’s event will focus on creating an environment where leading entrepreneurs can inspire the next generation of innovators. There are five tracks for the event, each with a different focus. The first track, “Entrepreneur Tales by Industry”, focuses on the three sectors of Maryland’s innovation economy – high-tech app development, cyber-security and life sciences. The second is “Ramping-up” which covers funding the business. “Innovating and Starting-Up” discusses the unique concerns of entrepreneurs. “The Rounds” are round-table discussions on 3 different topics of interest to entrepreneurs. And finally, “The Pitching Mound” is a track dedicated to perfecting the pitch of the entrepreneur. The day also features three powerful speakers, an opening address by Cindy Crump of AFrame Digital, a luncheon keynote by Martin Roesch of Sourcefire, and a closing keynote by Paul Singh of 500 Startups.
While attending, make sure you stop by the Rockville Economic Development, Inc. (REDI) table and see what we have to offer innovators in Rockville. Register now for the event on Monday, November 18, and we will see you there.
