How REDI Can Promote You!
While we are just under 2 weeks away from Rockville Business Appreciation Week, which compresses visits with 50+ local companies into a five-day span, it’s important to remember that REDI consistently works to maintain a strong relationship with the business community throughout the year. Building upon our existing efforts, we have introduced two new business retention programs as part of our 20th anniversary in 2017 to increase our interactions with local companies: Rockville Key Visits and the Rockville Legacy Club.
Launched in January, Rockville Key Visits (RKVs) are held monthly with a company that is a major employer, exhibiting fast growth potential, and/or operating in a priority industry. REDI is joined by representatives of the Mayor & City Council, our Board of Directors, and partner economic development organizations. The RKVs provide REDI with an opportunity to regularly connect with the companies driving the local economy, which is important to discover the opportunities and challenges in our business community.
The first RKV took us to Supernus Pharmaceuticals, which focused on developing and commercializing products for the treatment of central nervous system disorders and employs over 160 in its Rockville headquarters. As a major employer operating in the region’s important biotech cluster with strong potential for growth due to several drug candidates in clinical trials, Supernus was the ideal company to kick off this program.
While still in the final stages of development, the Rockville Legacy Club will recognize companies celebrating a major anniversary, beginning with their 25th. During their anniversary year, companies will be recognized on a special section of our website, promoted via our social media channels, and presented with a certificate during a site visit.
If your company is celebrating a major anniversary in 2017, please contact me at (301) 355-2202 or firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to our Rockville Legacy Club list.
Also, there is still time to sign up for Rockville Business Appreciation Week, so please click here to sign up for a visit from our team!
