The Power Conference: Women Doing Business
Celebrating its 5th year, The Power Conference, which is designed to promote business development for women in business through networking, education and marketing opportunities, is being hosted this month in North Bethesda, MD.
The conference will take place on Thursday, August 28, from 9am to 4pm at the North Bethesda Marriott. It will feature a day-long expo where participants may come and go to meet authors, browse books, and network with one another. The expo will also include interviews at The PowerUP Hotspot and a Social Media Wall.
The agenda will start off with a morning mini keynote session and lightning networking that will get participants energized and warmed-up to meet new connections. Following this there will be two AM sessions and two PM sessions that will include workshops, business roundtables, master classes, and power talks, with a Keynote Luncheon in between.
The keynote speaker, Katty Kay, is lead news anchor for BBC World News America and co-author of “The Confidence Code”. She is a known advocate for women empowerment in the workplace. During the luncheon, the StartRight! Award Winners will be announced. The StartRight! Business Plan Competition is in its 11th year. The competition gives an opportunity for DC, Maryland and Virginia women business owners (for less than 3 years) to win the grand prize of $5,000.
The conference will conclude with a wine and ice cream reception to wind down the day and allow for more networking and relationship building.
The Power Conference is a great opportunity to network with fellow businesswomen while promoting personal professional development. To learn more about The Power Conference and how you can register visit their website here. We can’t wait to see you there!
