Breezio Comes to Rockville
Rockville is home to a new startup, Breezio, that launched a cloud-based platform designed to help researchers more effectively collaborate on health projects.
After two years of R&D, the company officially began operations on July 10.
Company founders Siavash Mahmoudian, Shahab Kaviani and Kamyar Kaviani said this area is an ideal location, since Maryland receives more federal research funding than any other state.
“The national capital region already is one of the top regions in the country in attracting research dollars,” said Shahab Kaviani. “We could gain a greater share while advancing important discoveries, like in health, by embracing the team science movement.”
Breezio marks Shahab Kaviani’s third startup, after previously co-founding HyperOffice and CoFoundersLab.
